Experience

As a legal, policy and parliamentary affairs expert and trained lecturer and tutor, I offer tutoring for both vocational and academic studies from A-Levels onward. I currently work as Lecturer and Tutor at the Law Training Centre, Legal Consultant for City Law Practice and Global Ambassador for Global Resolutions as an International Legal and Political Analyst. My book has been published, which is entitled ‘An International Humanitarian Organisation: A United Nations of the People’. The book is published by Cambridge Scholar Publishing, succeeding in the book being reviewed by their panel of professors and experts. I have also published articles in the Ecologist and the Global Minds in the Global Journal as an expert member. Some of the areas of my consultancy work have been as Policy Advisor for the Government on Energy and Climate Change and Policy Expert for the Green Party on developing their 2015 general election manifesto and a renewable energy charter. In the Green Party I worked with headquarters to write a report on energy, encouraging cross-collaboration with NGOs and multimedia presentation online. I was also an International Policy Advisor, Trustee, Parliamentary Liaison Coordinator for the International Simultaneous Policy Organisation (ISPO). I gave presentations in front of key influencers to further the reach and impact of the organisation. I am also the UK National Coordinator for the Club of Budapest, Expert Member for the Global Journal, Member of WildLawUK Steering Committee and Member of Earth Law Alliance. My work has also been on RT three times, giving live interviews for the 9pm Evening News regarding the Infrastructure Bill in the Queens Speech and the legal issues on energy and environmental policies. Having a life-long interest in politics, during my undergraduate studies I gained an internship out of 200 people with then the Secretary of State for International Development, the Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP; and was also research intern and conference organiser for the Fabian Society. During and after my Masters, I was an Advice and Referral Caseworker for the Environmental Law Foundation (ELF) and Senior Casework Aide of Refugee and Migrant Justice (RMJ). I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Politics and Parliamentary studies and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law. My key strengths are collaboration, strategy, analysis and communication. I am an experienced and confident public speaker and have given lectures for a number of conferences, universities and organisations. One example was being invited to speak at the Integral European Conference in Budapest, presenting ‘An Integral Approach to Solving the Climate Crisis’ and 'The Future of International Politics and Law in an Integrated World'' Tutoring Experience: I have over five years of professional legal experience that spans lecturing, tutoring, casework and consultancy. I have an LLM in International Law (Merit), a BA Hons in Politics and currently work as a lecturer and tutor for the accredited Law Training Centre (LTC) in Canterbury, Kent. My role for LTC involves teaching tort, contract, criminal, employment, land, introduction, probate, law of wills and practice of company and partnership law. My teaching approach places great emphasis on coaching and I have created a highly effective learning environment by encouraging students to apply their own professional experience and independent analysis to real-world examples. This approach has proved to be very successful with my students achieving universal pass rates at distinction and merit level in 2016/2017. The role involves group lectures and tutoring, face to face and remote/Skype tutoring, webinars and writing mock exams. I have also undertaken private tutoring where I support students with exam and essay writing help. Tutoring Approach: My tutoring is a powerful tool to pass exams and succeed. I can help you fully understand your subject through affordable online or face to face tutorial services. My core competencies is people centred teaching, which involves a step by step dialogue process. I have solid experience in conducting lessons as a tutor, lecturer and through distance teaching. I will provide a high quality of education through examining your modules and tailoring the sessions to each individual client, ensuring that you fully benefit and succeed from the tutoring process. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can present work in an influential and highly confident manner. My key strengths are collaboration, strategy, analysis and communication. I am an experienced and confident public speaker and have given lectures for a number of conferences, universities and organisations. I have intensively studied both law and legal theory (Jurisprudence), which have both been a contribution to my book. I am very focused on the professional analytical work and becoming familiar with the great deal of material across a wide range of legal topics. My tutoring emphasises the first-hand study of legal sources - the reading of statutes and cases. This requires an independent and questioning mind alongside hard work. A common misunderstanding is that the study of law is simply memorising data, although there is a lot to remember the central focus of a lawyer is constructing legal arguments. A pivotal focus of my tutoring is learning to make a proper legal argument, which is a creative activity and needs both originality and inspiration with the information and accuracy needed. My tutoring aims to give you weekly meetings with intensive training in the art of argument. Although studying law is mainly concerned with English law, it is important to do comparative study of other legal systems, including civil (Roman) law, EU law and international law. The theoretical and sociological aspects of law also increase your success rate and the ability to proceed to vocational courses that lead to professional examinations. Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Law of Contract, Law of Tort, Land Law, Law of Trusts (Equity), and Law of the EU are all vital to fully pass at degree level and enter the professional bodies for qualifying as a solicitor or barrister. I am dedicated to your success and place your learning above everything else. I am trained in the best teaching methods with online or face to face learning systems. My tutoring is also a friendly and engaging process and giving you the motivation to study and learn. This will help manifest your knowledge, skills and talents to the fullest and cultivate the understanding needed to fully pass your exams and succeed in the world.

Hobbies

At a personal and academic level I have intensively studied political philosophy and legal theory (Jurisprudence), which have both been a contribution to my book. Currently I am writing another book on philosophy to be published next year. Currently I give presentations and speeches that explore the way international law can fix global problems. I add depth and insight on finding intelligent solutions. My presentations and speeches engage, enlighten, entertain and motivate, which direct any audiences into further insights. My commentary on international relations offers insights and solutions to the current uncertainties and concerns across the world. I have a strong interest and in-depth knowledge of both eastern and western philosophy. I gave a presentation for the British Humanist Society, Centre for Inquiry and the Ethical Society at Conway Hall with Stephen Law; English philosopher and Reader in Philosophy at Heythrop College, University of London and editor for the philosophical journal Think, which is sponsored by the Royal Institute of Philosophy and published by the Cambridge University Press, also alongside Robin Ince; well-known comedian, and Francesca Stavrakopoulou; Professor of the Hebrew Bible and Ancient Religion at Exeter’s Department of Theology and Religion. My expertise is also in the field of performance arts, being an international award-winning conjurer who has performed at many prominent theatres and venues, including the West End. I perform both sleight of hand and what I have coined philosophical illusion.
